Dr. Solon Guzman has been a known advocate and supporter of the Filipino community’s betterment. Aside from being a highly successful and well respected Dentist, he is also the Chairman of the Kalayaan Filipino Cultural Organization — also known as Kalayaan — uniting the community and promoting Filipino cultural heritage. Being a leader is not new to the doctor-samaritan, as he was also a former president of Filipino-Canadian Dental Association, Kalayaan Cultural Centre, director and an advisor to the Mississauga Pilipino Athletic Association. A successful immigrant, he has proven his success in Canada professionally. Proving it are his dental clinics, Dundas Tower Medical Dental Centre & Laboratory and the Dentistry in Milton. Presently, as a trusted leader he hopes for unity and camaraderie within the community, and as an Advisory Council member of CPFW, he sees Canada Philippine Fashion week as a new an exciting plateau from which all generations of Filipinos, and Non Filipinos can unite through their love of fashion and culture, and all for a good cause, the Kol Hope Foundation for Children.
