Launched in June 2013, Canada Philippine Fashion Week (CPFW) is a showcase of the best in haute couture, style, innovation, culture and creativity of the Philippines. It is dedicated to the promotion and development of Filipino fashion talent in the Philippines and Canada, all for a good cause – the Kol Hope Foundation for Children, a charitable organization that helps children with disabilities in both countries.
Founded by Filipino-Canadian Executive Director, Jeff Rustia, the dazzling week of Filipino fashion, culture and philanthropy will span 6 days at varying spectacular venues in Toronto. It features everything from world-class fashion shows to live performances, Filipino celebrities and supermodels, entertainment, exhibits, art and food.
Canada Philippine Fashion Week is the proud recipient of Canada’s prestigious FEO 2014 AWARD for Best New Festival of the Year, making it a true tourism destination event in Toronto, Canada. It is also wholly endorsed by both the Philippine government through its Department of Foreign Affairs and its Department of Tourism, as well as the Canadian government through the Ontario province and the Ministry of Tourism, Sport and Culture. The 2nd Annual celebration of Canada Philippine Fashion Week, CPFW 2014 returns this year with an even bigger and more spectacular lineup featuring Philippine fashion icons, Visionaries and rising stars. It will take place in Toronto, Canada from June 9th – 14th, 2014 and will be comprised of a variety of key programs: The Premiere Collection, Independencia: Filipino Pride and Style, Philippine Icons of Style, Manila Chic, The Visionary Collection, Project Terno, Future Perfect, CPFW Model of the Year, Canada Philippine Fashion Ball, and CPFW Showroom.
